Ann Welker was elected to the Board of Trustees of the Freeholders and Commonality of the Town of Southampton on November 7, 2017 and sworn into office on January 3, 2018.

Ann is the newest member of the Board and, in nearly 400 years, is the first woman to have been elected to the Board of Trustees in the history of the Town of Southampton.

Ann grew up on the East End, and has spent her life in and on the waters of the Town of Southampton. She is a recreational user of the waters, and brings a different perspective to the board, as such.

Most recently, Ann has been involved with water testing for the Surfrider Foundation's Eastern Long Island Chapter. Acting to address the degraded quality of the waterways of the Town of Southampton is of paramount importance to Ann.
